Carers often put others’ needs first, but maintaining a healthy diet is vital for their own wellbeing. The demands of caring—long hours, emotional stress, and physical tasks—can sap energy and resilience. Poor nutrition leads to fatigue, reduced concentration, and a weakened immune system, making it harder to provide effective support.  Healthy eating helps carers sustain energy levels, manage stress, and maintain emotional balance. Simple changes, such as preparing larger meals to freeze, keeping nourishing snacks on hand, or using meal delivery services, can make a real difference.
