Carers Trust Grant Application

to be completed by a carer wishing to apply for a grant

Our application process for the Carers Trusts Grants will be open soon.  All applicants need to have had a Carers Needs Assessment in the previous 12 months.  If you have not had a Carers Needs Assessment in that time you can book one here with a member of staff or complete an assessment online here.

Please read our application guidance

It is important that you spend some time reading our application guidance so you can be sure to have completed the application form correctly.  You can read our guidance below or download the guidance by clicking on the button.

Who Can Apply?

All carers registered with us who have had a Carers Needs Assessment in the last 12 months. We will prioritise grant applications for carers who: 1. Claim Carers Allowance and 2. Have not been awarded a Carers Trust Grant previously.

How Much Money Can Be Applied For?  You can apply for up to £400.

What Can the Grant Money Be Used For?
The grant must be put towards something to benefit you as a carer, not the person you care for. It is designed to support you in your caring role, e.g. Short respite breaks in the UK, with or without the person you care for. Items for the home including cookers, fridges, beds, washing machines etc. Driving lessons and other travel costs relating to caring roles. Courses and materials to develop carers skills and personal development.  Essential home repairs.  Short term or time limited replacement care.

The Carers Trust will accept applications for other requests that clearly describe how they will benefit carers in their caring roles and/ or improve their independence and quality of life.

This form has been designed to ensure that your Carers Trust Grant Application meets the criteria necessary for successful submission. By reading through the following sections, and by ticking the provided tick boxes you will be able to complete your application.
