Age UK Barnet works with other voluntary organisations in the borough to provide a broad range of activities and services for older people. Whether you are looking for an exercise class, information about benefits, some support with IT or opportunities to make new friends, there’s something happening close to you. This also includes our Handyperson, befriending and nail cutting services.
CommunitySpace is a day service offering support for adults with a wide range of learning disabilities. Staff support people to take part in activities that meet their needs and interests. Using person-centred planning tools and approaches, CommunitySpace helps individuals establish personal goals, working with families or carers where appropriate. Activities take place across the borough of Barnet and beyond.
Mind in Barnet is a mental health charity affiliated to National Mind. We provide services primarily to Barnet residents including Advocacy and Counselling. ECLIPSE – we promote Mental Health and Wellbeing supporting people to live fulfilling lives. Clients have to be residents of the Borough of Barnet or registered with a Barnet CCG GP or be employed in Barnet. Clients have to be 16 years +. We encourage clients to self refer but we accept referrals from family and mental health professionals.p.
We are an independent charity seeking to provide for older adults, living in the Borough of Barnet, especially East & New Barnet. We offer various activities, such as exercise classes, yoga, tai-chi, dance, IT training etc, so
Barnet Seniors’ Association (BSA) is a non-profit local voluntary organisation focused mainly on older residents living or working in the borough of Barnet. It runs activities for senior citizens during the year. BSA also publishes the free bi-monthly information publication INSIDER. The INSIDER provides useful information and advice to people. It gives practical information about local services, support and events that could help older people in Barnet stay safe, active and enjoy good health and wellbeing. BSA is open to anyone and free to join.
